Engineer M Marvelight 43mm | Blue Dial

In watchmaking, perhaps the greatest step forward happened after two trains collided in April 1891, the result of a malfunctioning watch that belonged to one of the train engineers. Afterward, watchmaker Webb C. Ball was hired to establish strict standards of performance for all railroad watches. His system directly influenced watchmaking standards of today. In his honor, the Engineer M Marvelight runs on our first manufacture chronometer movement, BALL RRM7309-C. It is a caliber that has been designed and tested to meet the precision requirements of mechanical watch enthusiasts and explorers everywhere. Caliber RRM7309-C is equipped with an 80-hour power reserve, ensuring that the Marvelight will display precise time on Monday after having taken it off on the previous Friday night. While the easiest way to extend a power reserve is to lower its frequency, caliber RRM7309-C still features an incredible frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz) with rigorously-tested precision from the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC).
